Frome musician and supporter of cancer counselling charity We Hear You, Paul Kirtley. has assembled 'The WHY tribe' for a gig at Old Theatre Royal as part of Bath Fringe Festival on Tuesday 7th June. Entry costs £5 per person, with all proceeds to be donated to WHY. The WHY tribe have pledged to raise £7,000 in seven months and have already raised more than £1300. Organiser Paul says:
"I sang at a session upstairs in the Grapes, Bath, and a lovely fella offered me a gig in the Bath Fringe Festival - nice gesture. I said I'd gather the WHY Tribe, plus a couple of guests, and on Tuesday 7th June we’re putting on a show at the Old Theatre Royal Bath. So, there we have it - a proper, 150 seat auditorium just waiting to be filled for just a fiver per head. This is a fantastic opportunity since ALL proceeds will go to our local We Hear You ( WHY) charity. Please get behind this very worthwhile cause and help the WHY Tribe raise £7000 by the end of September."
Lucy McMahon, WHY’s Communications Officer says “What a great opportunity to get out for the evening for some live music! Thanks to Paul and the WHY tribe for all they do for WHY and for performing free of charge to maximise the fundraising potential. This event is a bargain night out at £5 a head, Bath Fringe Festival is such a fab event and it’s a great way to support the work we do supporting people impacted by cancer and life threatening conditions.”
The WHY tribe gig takes place on Tuesday 7th June at 7.30pm, at the Old Theatre Royal, Old Orchard Street, Bath BA1 1JU.
Tickets can be purchased at Komedia box office on 01225 489070 or Bath Box Office 01225 463362.
