Local charity We Hear You (WHY) is hosting a ‘pop-up’ café from 3rd to 11th July at Rook Lane as part of Frome Festival 2021.
The café runs alongside Frome Festival’s 20th anniversary exhibition, curated by Sue Bucklow and showcasing the history and growth of the festival since its inception in 2001. Fundraising and Communications Officer Gemma Wilkes says:
“We’re delighted to be back in the community hosting a face to face fundraising event for the first time in more than a year. Many thanks to Frome Festival for the opportunity to run the café, to Rook Lane for having us, and also to the many individuals and local businesses who have stepped forward and pledged to provide refreshments or volunteer to run the café, all in a very short space of time! We’ll be serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and savouries at Rook Lane from 10am to 4pm from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 11th July, so come along, find out more about Frome’s wonderful festival and support WHY’s pop-up café.”
The Frome Festival exhibition is sponsored by Frome Society for Local Study and Frome Lottery and runs from Friday 2nd to Sunday 11th July from 10am to 4pm At Rook Lane, Bath Street, Frome BA11 1DN. WHY’s pop up café opens on Saturday 3rd July and runs 10am to 4pm daily until Sunday 11th July.
