Rachel Clark, the organiser of the successful rowathon world record in 2018 and 2019's '365 for WHY' running challenge, has taken the decision to postpone June's planned skittles world record attampt, in light of the global COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing measures in place. Rachel released this statement:

"It will come as no surprise that I have decided to postpone our world record skittles attempt scheduled for June at the Frome independent market.

Our challenges for local charity We hear You (WHY) can take up to three months to prepare and given our current situation we are simply not in a position to be ready for June.

Obviously, current government advice goes against mass gatherings too and we wholly support the social distancing measures currently in place.

We now plan to hold the attempt on Sunday 6th September at the Frome Independent.

I am sensible. If the government dictate otherwise we may have to postpone again. But we remain optimistic. And so should you. I hope as a community we can build on our previous strengths and come together later in the year.

Registration remains open so feel free to sign up for 6th September.

I have attached our previous world record row time lapse short film in the hope it makes you smile and to remind you, how strong we can be, together.

Stay safe."
